Keyboard Shortcuts

We created 20+ keyboard shortcuts in order to improve the usability of the staffing timeline. Below is a complete reference list of all the current shortcuts - we also added various tooltips to remind users of the various shortcuts at their disposal

For Mac:

For Windows:

Shortcuts related to create/editing events

• Cmd/Ctrl + C: copy any selected events. If you have events selected across multiple rows it will only copy the first row
• Cmd/Ctrl + X: cut selected events. This will remove all selected events but only copy the first row of events
• Cmd/Ctrl + V: paste (at the mouse location)
• Cmd/Ctrl + S: save
• Cmd/Ctrl + Z: undo
• Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z: Redo
• Cmd/Ctrl + Enter: submit any create/insert/edit event modal
• Cmd/Ctrl + Click on a blank cell: opens up the Multiple Events Modal which lets you edit/create multiple events for that agent
• ESC: exit popups or clear clipboard. Super helpful for quickly closing out of popups

Shortcuts related to selected events

• Cmd + Click on event: select event
• Shift + Drag: select multiple events
• Delete/Backspace: delete any selected events
• Left/Right Arrow: Move selection by 5 minutes
• Shift + Left/Right Arrow: Move selection by 15 minutes

Shortcuts to change how you view the staffing timeline

• J: Previous time range
• L: Next time range
• D: Day Mode
• W: Week Mode
• T: Go to today
• Y: Go to this week
• F: Toggle full-screen
• Cmd/Ctrl + (-/+): Zoom out/in
• Cmd/Ctrl + G: Search people
• Right Click or Ctrl + Click: New Context Menu
