Occasionally, your business may want to switch from your existing contact platform to a new contact platform. We recommend reviewing this article and choosing one of the 2 proposed paths forward to ensure a seamless transition!
First path : migrate historical data (recommended)
This path involves migrating historical data from your old contact platform to your new contact platform.
- Import all your data from your existing contact platform to your new contact platform.
- This ensures that you have access to your historical data even after moving off your original contact platform.
- Schedule a call with your Assembled contact to integrate your next contact platform.
- This ensures that we pause the backfill from your new contact platform until we’ve deleted the data from the old contact platform.
- Follow the instructions from our help center for your new contact platform.
- Disconnect your existing contact platform from settings>integrations by clicking on the 3 dots and then
Disable integration
. - Reach out to support@assembledhq.com to have Assembled’s product team drop data from your existing contact platform to remove duplicates and re-enable the ticket backfill from your new contact platform.

Second path : upload forecasts
This path involves keeping historical data as is and uploading a forecast when you integrate your new contact platform.

Download your forecast volume for the channels/queues that will be impacted by the new contact platform.

Navigate to Forecasted v actual > click
Export

Select roughly 4 weeks after the date you plan to switch to your new contact platform for your start and end time.

Select your channel/queues > click
Export

On the day you plan to make the switch, disconnect your existing contact platform from settings>integrations by clicking on the 3 dots and then
Disable integration
. -
Find your new contact platform in the Integration directory tab and click
Add
. -
Follow the instructions from our help center for your new contact platform.
- Upload your downloaded forecast from Uploads > Forecast totals.
- Line up the fields with the columns from your uploaded file.
- Select the timezone you want to upload your forecast in and click
Upload
.
