Overview & installation instructions for Assembled Chrome extension

Overview

The Assembled Chrome Extension can be configured for multiple functionalities, including:

• Tracking allowed websites
• Upcoming event visibility & notifications
• Zendesk time tracking
• Understanding the activity timeline with the Assembled Chrome extension

Configuration instructions for admins

Navigate to "Available" in "Third-party integrations," and navigate to the Chrome extension. Click "Enable."

You should then see the Chrome Extension listed under "Connected" integrations.

Once you're ready to go live with the extension for your organization, make sure the toggle for "Agents can connect" is on.

Once the extension is enabled and the Agents can connect toggle is on, no additional configuration is required. Agents can install the extension and begin using it immediately.

Note: You may also see an entry called "Assembled Chrome extension" in Connected apps. 
This entry simply links to the Chrome Web Store download page for the extension and does not represent a separate integration.

If your team previously used an older browser extension for activity tracking, it can be safely removed. Leaving it installed will not interfere with the Chrome extension. All users must install the extension, and be logged into Assembled to access the functionalities.

What agents see:

• Clicking the icon:

  • If signed out: a login screen for app.assembledhq.com.

    

  • If signed in: a simple view with:
    • Current adherence status
    • The scheduled event they’re working
    • The current tracked state

It is recommended that all agents pin the Assembled browser extension. If the extension is pinned, when a user is logged out, the Assembled logo will show a warning, telling a user to log back in.

Reporting issues

• The popup includes “Report a problem” to send feedback directly to Assembled if tracking looks wrong.
• Our engineering team is closely monitoring alpha feedback and will proactively investigate any incorrect states.
