If you don't have access to change your own schedule, you may be able to submit a request instead. Every company handles this differently, so be sure to check with your manager to make sure you're following the right process.

How do I submit a request?
To start a new request:
- Visit My Assembled to check out your schedule. First, find the shift you'd like to change.
- In the lower right corner of the screen, select Request changes.
- Select the part of your shift you need to update to open the editing menu.
- Make your changes. You can update the type of event, the duration, or the time and date.
- Select the Update event button. This will show your changes on your personal schedule, but it won't submit them for review yet.
- When you're ready to submit, select the button in the lower right labeled Request changes.
- Choose people who need to be notified about your request. If you don't choose anyone, you can still submit a request for review, but no one will be alerted.
- If you want to, you can add a short description of why you're requesting this change.
- Select Request changes. You'll notice a banner at the top of the page confirming that your request has been submitted. You're done!
What happens after I request schedule changes?
- Your request will be submitted for review.
- If you selected specific people to notify about the request, like your manager or scheduler, they'll get a message to let them know. If you didn't select anyone to notify, your request will still appear on the Schedule requests page. In most cases, your manager, team lead, or scheduler will be regularly reviewing new requests as they come in. Depending on your team's policies, you might need to tell them about the request in a separate message or in person.
- The request will be approved or denied. If your request is approved, you'll get a notification email to let you know. Your schedule will update automatically in Assembled! If your request is denied, you'll get an email that explains why.
I made a mistake — can I undo a change I requested?
You may be able to cancel your request, depending on your permissions in Assembled. Here's how:
- First, open the Schedule requests page. If you can't access this page, you'll need to ask a leader or admin to help you cancel the request.
- The page should show only pending requests by default. If it doesn't, select the Request status filter at the top of the page and choose Pending.
- Find your request in the list and select the three-dot icon [•••] to open the action menu.
- Select Cancel. You'll notice a confirmation message at the top of the page, and your request will disappear from the list. Once you've canceled a request, no one can approve or deny it. You can submit a new request if you still need to make changes.
