If your organization is split into teams or sites, you may want Team Leads to only view and approve schedule requests for agents on their own team, not the whole company. This isn't a single setting, it's two settings working together: a role that controls what a Team Lead can do, and a Restricted Site that controls whose data they can do it for.
Plan availability: limiting access to a specific team requires Restricted Sites, which is part of our BPO Management offering. See the Plans page, or contact support@assembled.com to enable it.
Access: creating sites and assigning roles is available to admins.
How do I limit a Team Lead to their own team's schedule requests?
Combine the Team Lead role with a Restricted Site. The role sets the permission level (for example, the ability to view and approve schedule requests). The Restricted Site then narrows that permission to only the agents who share that site.
- Go to Configure > Team attributes > Sites and select + Add new site to create the site you want to use as the Restricted Site, if it doesn't already exist.
- Go to the People page and open the Team Lead you want to restrict.
- Set both the Site and Restricted site fields to the site you created, then save.
Repeat this for each agent who should share that Team Lead's team, using the same site value.
What will the Team Lead be able to see and do?
Once the Restricted Site is set, the Team Lead can only view and act on data for agents in that same site. This includes approving or denying schedule change requests, viewing the Staffing timeline, and the People management page. Requests from agents outside their site won't appear for them.
Keep in mind: this restriction is enforced at the system level. It can't be bypassed by removing the site filter manually, and it applies in addition to whatever the Team Lead role already allows or restricts.
Where can I find more detail on roles or Restricted Sites?
For the full permission matrix for each role, see Managing roles and permissions. For more on how Restricted Sites work across other pages and reports, see Restricted Sites.
